In yesterday post we talk about how robot is getting even smarter -- resembling human -- strong, and powerful, and multiple times faster, stronger than human -- hence the importance of making sure it never "hang" or catch virus, because we can "never" Ctrl-Alt-Delete it if it start acting "erratically" -- without significant effort on our side. (Hence NOT to install Windows on it). :-)
Today, such condition may be getting even more important, if we consider that one of the "today" and "future" robot might look and behave like this:
This is really "scarry" crazy little mean machine! We definitely don't want Windows (or even Vista) to ever run on it. The implication of "bug", "error", "hang" and "virus" is really serious in such circumstances.
For something really mission-critical and critically, sensitively important, may be Windows is not the option?.
Just a thought.
We'll see how the future goes. :-)
