Soon We Can Edit Office Document On iPhone!

DataViz, makers of Documents To Go, a Microsoft Office editor app for mobile devices, has confirmed that they are developing an application for the iPhone. The application would allow for editing of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on your iPhone, or, presumably, your iPod Touch. According to a company representative, the application will likely be available in early 2009.

This would be awesome! This would make iPhone or iPod touch the 'smallest workable portable computer', ever invented.

Good Advertising Is About Statement, Content, Idea & Message. Not Just Rhetoric!

Good advertising can speak by itself. It doesn't need support of fancy picture nor colors. It just speak out loud in simplest form, because it contain ideas that worth something to be noticed about.

Lauzy and dry ad try too hard to be heard. It applies too many gestures, too busy pictures, too crowded colors. It disturb people's attention, rather than attract them for closer observation.

People say the greatest advertising form of all is education. It educates people. It tells people something that is worth noticing, worth memorizing, worth to be understood. It contains 'something' that is worth to be spread about.

Not just a music player, but the most innovative of all. The best, the state of the art, the finest, the most advanced, the most beautiful. Apple doesn't need to had the largest market share, but they might command the biggest margin, the most continuous revenue stream and eventually may become the largest business on the net and beyond. If other companies don't change in time, Apple might one day exceed them all; in terms of size, revenue stream continuity and healthy margin.

Silverlight Everywhere ??

Microsoft seems to start to understand that the computing paradigm has changed. No longer it is just about desktop system. Rather it's going to be about desktop and the web combined.

"One day, operating system would become irrelevant. It is integrated desktop+web front-end system and application platform mechanism that matters".

In response to that, they created a silverlight interface that esssentially:

• Embrace desktop capability
• Seamlessly integrate it with the web. 

Such hybrid front-end + cross-platform technology could dominate computing in the future. Microsoft can sense that. Hence they created Silverlight version that runs on Windows, as well as on Apple and any other (platform in the future).

Silverlight probably is among first of Microsoft technology that runs on many platforms, other than Windows. Adobe Air (the core technology that Microsoft imitate) shall be careful, and shall move faster as well, to maintain its pioneering effort and technical lead.

BMW "Open Car" -- Linux On The Road!

BMW is developing an open-source platform for vehicle electronics. By taking the open-source approach, rather than using proprietary software, BMW aims to allow providers of infotainment services to develop plug-and-play applications.

The open-source Linux system was created by BMW, Wind River Systems Inc. and Intel Corp. for the in-vehicle infotainment market.

BMW's said that his company would have an open-source platform in a vehicle of 200,000 or more units in the next five to seven years. Electrical and electronics engineers from BMW, Chrysler, Ford Motor, General Motors and Honda R&D participated on the panel.

Linux on the road, probably is about to happen.
