As predicted, similar to Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos is indeed a truly awesome innovator and amazing business strategist/awesome business leader too!
Today Mr. Bezos reveal a 7" tablet with a built-in cloud ecosystem that makes it easy for people to peruse and buy books, music, content, apps and media.
Beside making it extremely affordable (Kindle Fire is priced at $199), seems Amazon also makes the entire Kindle Fire's software truly easy to use to access all the digital content and media that Amazon has. It is also being made to be seamlessly integrated into cloud storage services that Amazon had.
Looking at these, seems Kindle Fire could become either an alternative medium to the more general purpose iPad; or -- across time -- it might also surprisingly become a complementary books, music, content and media tablet of choice -- complementing the iPad!
We will see how the future goes. But looking at what is being announced today, seems Amazon really know how to compete in the digital content and media business; and that its leader -- Jeff Bezos -- as always -- is indeed as entrepreneurial, strategic and as amazing as Apple's Steve Jobs!
